Resumen
Este artículo ofrece un resumen del proceso de creación y construcción del Oratorio de San Felipe Neri en Sucre, Bolivia, destacando sus valores patrimoniales mediante la aplicación de un modelo de investigación que proporciona detalles históricos y artísticos del bien. El objetivo es recrear una experiencia del pasado en términos de espacio y tiempo, así como en los aspectos políticos, socio-culturales, económicos y tecnológicos. Se realiza la revisión de personajes responsables de su fundación, diseño y del fervor con el que trabajaron para construir este significativo patrimonio arquitectónico. La peculiar apariencia del Oratorio, con su estilo y características distintivas, refleja las influencias políticas y estilísticas del Viejo Mundo.
This article provides a summary of the creation and construction process of the Oratory of San Felipe Neri in Sucre, Bolivia, highlighting its heritage values through the application of a research model that offers historical and artistic details of the site. The aim is to recreate a past experience in terms of space and time, as well as in political, socio-cultural, economic, and technological aspects. The review of people responsible for its foundation, design and the fervor with which they worked to build this significant architectural heritage is carried out. The peculiar appearance of the Oratory, with its distinctive style and features, reflects the political and stylistic influences of the Old World.
