The human being is moved to act according to the good of his rational nature, since it is reason that orders behaviors to an end. Only reason can direct the action according to the order that expresses and constitutes the healthy personality. He who does not rise to his own natural end, seeking perfection, loses the order of his being and disposes himself to psychic illnesses. When the personality is healthy, it adapts the sensible to reason and reason to its ultimate goal: God. It is the task of the psychotherapist to study rigorously the natural ordering of behaviors and to create a true "metanoia" so that the human being recognizes his creative condition and overcomes the ethical deviations that distance him from his transcendent end.
