dc.description.abstract	En el presente artículo, se presentan las ideas principales del realismo ético: la relación entre razón teórica y razón práctica, el análisis del acto humano, el hábito de la sindéresis y la virtud de la prudencia. Se pone de manifiesto que la crisis en el conocimiento y en el ser mismo del hombre en la actualidad tiene su origen en el fracaso del proyecto iluminista, que produjo lo contrario a lo que originariamente se propuso. Los supuestos iluministas no hacen posible un desarrollo de la racionalidad práctica y terminan favoreciendo el imperio actual del positivismo, el pragmatismo y el nihilismo. Esto repercute en nuestras sociedades a través de la hegemonía de la razón instrumental, encarnada por individuos atrapados en la dialéctica entre trabajo y espectáculo, en donde la auténtica libertad se encuentra en peligro y la feroz competitividad del mercado genera un nuevo estado individualista y narcisista que amenaza una sana vida social. Se propone la superación de este estado de las cosas fomentando relaciones intersubjetivas genuinas, centradas en el respeto y el amor, que permitan considerar al otro como un fin y nunca como un medio. Disponible en el Portal de Revistas UCALP: https://revistas.ucalp.edu.ar/index.php/persona/article/view/66/48 In this article we present the main ideas of ethical realism: the relation between the-oretical reason and practical reason, the analysis of the human act, the habit of syn-deresis and the virtue of prudence. It is evident that the crisis in knowledge and the very being of man today has its origin in the failure of the Enlightenment project, which produced the opposite of what was originally proposed. The assumptions of Enlightenment do not make possible a development of practical rationality and end up favoring the current empire of positivism, pragmatism and nihilism. This affects societies through the hegemony of instrumental reason, embodied by individuals trapped in the dialectic between work and entertainment, where authen-tic freedom is in danger and the fierce market competitiveness generates a new individualistic and narcissistic state that threatens a healthy social life. It is proposed to overcome this state of affairs by fostering genuine intersubjective relationships, centered on respect and love, which allow the other to be considered as an end and never as a means.
