Resumen
Resumen: La participación ciudadana es un componente crucial para la gestión efectiva de los gobiernos locales, ya que promueve la transparencia, la rendición de cuentas y la inclusión de las comunidades en la toma de decisiones de carácter público. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo evaluar el nivel y el impacto de la participación ciudadana en la gestión del Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Parroquial Carlos Concha en Ecuador durante el período 2020-2024, a través de un paradigma de investigación cualicuantitativo. Se analizará cómo se han implementado los mecanismos de participación ciudadana, la percepción de los ciudadanos sobre su efectividad y el impacto de esta participación en el desarrollo local.
Abstract: Citizen participation is a crucial component for the effective management of local governments, as it promotes transparency, accountability and the inclusion of communities in public decision-making. This research aims to evaluate the level and impact of citizen participation in the management of the Carlos Concha Parochial Decentralized Autonomous Government in Ecuador during the period 2020-2024, through a qualitative-quantitative research paradigm. It will be analyzed how citizen participation mechanisms have been implemented, citizens' perception of their effectiveness and the impact of this participation on local development.
