Resumen
Resumen: El trabajo pretende cumplir con dos objetivos. Por un lado, plantea una breve perspectiva de la oralidad como garantía del debido proceso. Por otro lado, presenta una síntesis de su reconocimiento en el sistema procesal civil uruguayo: sus mecanismos adecuados de fortalecimiento, pero, también, expone algunas debilidades a resolver, así como nuevos desafíos que deberán ser enfrentados a la brevedad.
Abstract: The work aims to meet two objectives. On the one hand, it presents a brief perspective of orality as a guarantee of due process. On the other hand, it presents a synthesis of its recognition in the Uruguayan civil procedural system: its adequate strengthening mechanisms but, also, it exposes some weaknesses to be resolved as well as new challenges that must be faced as soon as possible.
