dc.description.abstract	La culminación de las torres de la Catedral de La Plata, inaugurada en 1999, no sólo significó el cierre de una obra arquitectónica monumental iniciada en el siglo XIX, sino también la concreción simbólica del ideal fundacional de una ciudad concebida como utopía moderna. Con más de 111 m de altura, las torres retomaron el espíritu del diseño original del ingeniero Pedro Benoit y permitieron completar la imagen urbana que sitúa su templo mayor en el punto central de la cuadrícula fundacional. Este estudio ofrece una lectura integral del proceso de finalización y puesta en valor de la Catedral platense, e indaga en sus dimensiones técnicas, estéticas y espirituales. A través de un enfoque que recupera la síntesis artística propia de la tradición medieval, se expone el modo en que arquitectura, fe y espiritualidad confluyen en una obra de carácter monumental. De las representaciones religiosas esculpidas hasta el tañido del carillón, desde la restauración estructural hasta la carga simbólica de sus portales, la llamada "Catedral de las Pampas" se presenta como un mensaje espiritual hecho piedra. Un testimonio para las generaciones presentes y futuras sobre el poder del arte y la arquitectura para expresar la trascendencia.
dc.description.abstract	The completion of the towers of La Plata Cathedral, inaugurated in 1999, not only marked the completion of a monumental architectural project begun in the 19th century, but also the symbolic realization of the founding ideal of a city conceived as a modern utopia. At over 111 m high, the towers captured the spirit of engineer Pedro Benoit's original design and completed the urban image that places its main temple at the central point of the founding grid. This study offers a comprehensive interpretation of the process of completion and enhancement of La Plata Cathedral, and explores its technical, aesthetic, and spiritual dimensions. Through an approach that recovers the artistic synthesis characteristic of medieval tradition, the study presents the way in which architecture, faith, and spirituality converge in a monumental work. From the sculpted religious representations to the chiming of the carillon, from the structural restoration to the symbolic significance of its portals, the so-called "Cathedral of the Pampas" stands as a spiritual message in stone. A testament to present and future generations about the power of art and architecture to express transcendence.
