| dc.description.abstract | El presente trabajo es el resultado del proyecto de investigación llamado: «Turismo de diásporas de los grupos migrantes en Argentina», realizado en el marco de la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Sociales de la Universidad Católica de La Plata y financiado por ella. El equipo está dirigido por la Dra. María Eugenia Cruset y codirigido por la Mgtr. María Lara Malagamba. El trabajo de investigación se llevó a cabo durante los años 2021 y 2022, en el tramo final de la pandemia del covid-19 y las restricciones que esta trajo. Mucho de nuestra pesquisa viene como continuación de un proyecto anterior realizado en la Facultad de Derecho y Ciencias Políticas de la misma universidad (Cruset, Silva y Malagamba, 2021). En él abordamos aspectos políticos de la relación entre las diásporas y sus lugares de origen. A raíz de este trabajo y de comprobar lo poco que se estudia la relación económica en las migraciones transnacionales, nos abocamos a estudiar el aspecto del turismo, no solo desde la perspectiva cultural o afectiva, sino, sobre todo, económica como generador de divisas, al ser una «industria sin chimeneas». Los resultados acá presentados son fruto de la búsqueda bibliográfica, entrevistas y encuestas dirigidas tanto a agencias de viaje como a instituciones políticas o de migrantes. Nuestra hipótesis, que entendemos confirmada, es que esta clase de turismo aún no está suficientemente trabajada por el sector privado, pero que podría ser un importante generador de empleos e ingresos si se articularan los distintos actores que intervienen y forman parte del proceso. The team is directed by Dr. María Eugenia Cruset and co-directed by Mgtr. Maria Lara Malagamba. The research work was carried out during the years 2021 and 2022, in the final stretch of the covid-19 pandemic and the restrictions that it brought.Much of our research comes as a continuation of a previous project carried out at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the same university (Cruset, Silva and Mala-gamba, 2021). In it we address political aspects of the relationship between diasporas and their places of origin. As a result of this work and verifying how little the economic relationship in transnational migrations is studied, we focus on studying the aspect of tourism, not only from the cultural or affective perspective, but, above all, economic as a generator of foreign currency, being an “industry without chimneys”.The results presented here are the result of a bibliographic search, interviews and sur-veys addressed to both travel agencies and political or migrant institutions. Our hypo-thesis, which we understand confirmed, is that this type of tourism is not yet sufficient-ly worked on by the private sector, but that it could be an important generator of jobs and income if the different actors involved and part of the process were articulated. | |
