dc.description.abstractResumen: En el Archivo Franciscano de La Paz se hallaron dos inventarios (1918 y 1923) que ofrecen valiosa información sobre los santos tutelares, donantes, y la evolución de las piezas en el convento de San Francisco. Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar el discurso retablístico de los retablos del convento, empleando estos inventarios para entender la religiosidad popular, la veneración de la Virgen y los santos, y la jerarquía devocional. El estudio busca identificar elementos clave del discurso retablístico en relación con el sincretismo cultural presente, resaltando la importancia de estos inventarios para la preservación del patrimonio cultural y religioso y como base para futuras investigaciones académicas.
dc.description.abstractAbstract: In the Franciscan Archive of La Paz, two inventories from 1918 and 1923 were found, providing valuable information on the patron saints, donors, and the evolution of pieces in the San Francisco convent. This article aims to analyze the retable discourse within the convent’s altarpieces, using these inventories to understand aspects of popular religiosity, the veneration of the Virgin Mary and the saints, and the devotional hierarchy. The study also seeks to identify key elements of the retable discourse in relation to the present cultural syncretism, highlighting the importance of these inventories for the preservation of cultural and religious heritage and as a basis for future academic research.
